Understanding clients

A client in LockedOn is a group of connected contacts - every client has at least one contact. A client may contain a single person, a husband and wife, or a family. You can have unlimited contacts on a client record.

For example, 'Luke & Natalie Newton' is a client record with two contacts - Luke Newton and Natalie Newton.

Clients hold joint information such as buyer criteria, property activity, buyer history, tasks and documents. For this reason, if you believe your contacts have different buyer needs or own properties separately, it is best to create individual client files for each of them rather than adding both contacts to the same client file.

Understanding contacts

A contact is an individual - containing details to identify (and contact) a person within a client record. For example, 'Luke Newton' is a contact within the client record 'Luke & Natalie Newton'.

Contacts hold information such as contact details, contact settings and subscriptions.
